4th of July

On July 3rd, we ventured to downtown Chicago for the Taste of Chicago event. They have a ton of local restaurants set up booths in Grant Park out by Lake Michigan. You buy tickets and buy samples of food from the booths with the tickets. We had African jerk chicken, Italian ice, cumin chutney fries, fried bread, and a bunch of other foods. Then we met up with one of my favorite Cornellians, Gary Chan.
This is Gary. He's one of Ben's buddies from Cornell. He's in Chicago for the summer as well, so he showed us around town a little bit. It was nice to have somebody there who knows where things are.

While we were downtown, we stopped by the once tallest building in the world, the Sears Tower.

This is Lexi in front of the Sears Tower. It is SOOO big. And fortunately it's right by the train station, so it's pretty easy to find our way back to the station at the end of a day in the city.
