Things we do

Blog for Grandma. I have to say that there has to be another way to upload pictures for people to see. Blogger takes 150 years to upload 5 pictures and I don't have that kind of time. Macie's new tricks are that she has finally figured out how to suck on her fist. We were waiting for that so that she could use that instead of needing us to put the pacifier back in her mouth. . . unfortunately she sucks on her fingers as well and those are too long for her mouth, which means she ends up choking herself or making herself throw up all over. . . so we now find ourselves removing the much anticipated fist and replacing the pacifier to its home. She is also finding her voice and practicing her sounds. She spends time trying to figure out which sounds can get our attention. She babbles, coos, makes a sound like a horse neighing, snorts, and her new favorite. . . screams. Not moms favorite. She has started laughing a lot more but has not started sleeping more sadly.Macie with all the cousins at her blessing. She had so much fun when they were holding her. She just stared at each of them and smiled and was loving them you could tell.

Wearing the cutest skirt from Aunt Jenny. It matches a quilt she made with colors that perfectly match my favorite sheet for Macie's crib.

"Baby Macie" with Kaden and McKayla. They call her Baby Macie all the time and they adore her. Kaden can get her to laugh and also holds her while she sleeps (and she stays asleep! That barely happens anywhere). McKayla talks to her and shows her how to be a girl and Macie watches her so intently.

We had her 4 month appointment and she is in the 41st percentile for height and head size and the 17th percentile for weight. She is inching her way closer to 13 pounds now, not quite, but so close.
She truly is our little peanut. She is coming up on 5 months old on March 7th and still wearing 0-3 month clothing. I love having a teeny baby. It is kind of sad though when a holiday comes up like Valentines Day
I bought all of her cute little holiday outfits in advance, which means so far she has had a Halloween outfit, a Christmas dress, a Blessing dress and a Valentines dress that have all been to big for her. It is looking like her flower girl dress for my sisters wedding will be too big as well. Thank heavens for the ribbons around the waist to keep her dresses on :) I could wait to let her wear them until they fit but where is the festiveness in that?

These are from our "beach day". There are 4 young couples in our ward. Two of them went to the Cayman islands and two got left behind. Guess which group we were in? So we created the beach in our house by putting a space heater, humidifier, fan (for the ocean breeze), sound machine (with waves AND seagulls), and a happy light for the Sun. Then we put a pool in the dining room for the ocean and had strawberry daquiris on the "beach" also known as the couch. That's right, we are fun. Mallory and Dustin posted better pictures on their blog so you should look at that.

Proof that all of Macie= the size of Daddy's head

Grandpa

This is Macie's new face she started making last week. She can make elephant noises with this face too. She has also started sucking on her bottom lip. It's hilarious because she looks like an old man. It accentuates the toothless nature of her mouth.

Sporting Mom's new hobby. The clips for her headband. I am making the hair pieces for my sisters wedding and these flowers were my first attempt. Now I'm kind of hooked.

Life is good. This girl wears her heart in her chins, more chins means more smiles. She laughs when I take off her onesie. I couldn't figure out why she thought it was so funny for the longest time. Now I have realized it's because her back is ticklish and when I put the top over her head it pulls the back of it up along her back and she laughs. It's really cute.

YEAH your blog isn't blocked from me anymore!! I love that little girl her faces are sooo cute! So the question is: is Macie small or does Ben just have a large head!

Love the "Beach" you guys had. We made Pina Coladas the other day - for the warm season to come!
